Darbar, originally a traditional attar from bygone era that has gained prominence and popularity among the attar community.
Over years it has grown variations, primarily being sweet, resinous, and woody with an incense undertone.
Looking at the evolution of the fragrance, it can be noted that in oriental version there have been fruitier notes added on top of this classical blend.
My personal experience or to be more specific my love for attar fragrances started with Darbar amongst which Jannat Ul Firdaus is worth to mention as it is easiest adaptation of the Darbar from late 80’s
The fragrance is ceremonial and quite often consists of Jasmine, Tuberose and Frangipani which in quite simple words makes our signature profile.
Aged Koh Chang Oud in heavy dose is used in order to add a more classic aspect of this mix in the dry down and therefore making it more weighted. The addition of fruity blueberries from oud enhances its attractiveness even more & adapts modern avatar. Upon dry-down, a lovely Salsa dance of Frangipani Plumeria and Koh Chang Oud suggests itself.
The top notes transport us into a wilderness packed blooming garden full of flowers laden with dew drops, reek of white jasmine tuberose the most. As the day passes, the soft and majestic fragrance of frangipani blossoms will gradually become much more obvious and addictive.
At night, the scent becomes ever more hypnotic and pronounced, with the fruity indulgence of Crassna oud being emphasized in the composition. If not told one would get away assuming its Cambodi.
These combinations of ingredients in galore and idea of Darbar attar is a rare and wild example in modern history of fragrances.
