Sunset in Merauke

In 2022, a dark jewel emerged from the jungles of Papua — Royal Merauke, a traditional oud oil distilled with reverence and restraint. Resinous and raw, it captured the soul of smouldering agarwood on hot charcoal: deep, smoky, and sweet like jungle molasses melting into incense. Its now return, reborn in Sunset in Merauke ,is nothing short of alchemy.

This new perfume brings that same Royal Merauke spirit — thick as night, free from barnyard echoes — now enriched with black ambergris, melted directly into the blend, lending a marine depth and cold mineral animalic/feral breath to the fire.

Absolute civet adds a wild pulse, primal yet refined, while a rare kopi luwak tincture offers roasted warmth and bitter seduction. Touches of sandalwood and cacao absolute ground the creation, smoothing its edges with woody creaminess and dusky sweetness.

Hints of green guava peel flicker at the edges — a final whisper from the forest.
